Commercial Greenroofs
At CANOPY, we categorize commercial greenroofs into groups by size.
Small-Scale
A small-scale greenroof is 0 – 2000 sqft. CANOPY approaches these projects using the same method as a residential project, to go from concept to installation.
Large-Scale
A large-scale greenroof is any roof larger than 2000 sqft. CANOPY services differ at this level, offering consultation and design services, along with construction administration and project management. Large-scale greenroofs require the cooperation and integration of a variety of trades and craftsmen to be installed correctly. CANOPY believes that on-site management of the greenroof is integral to quality control.
The benefits of greenroof systems when built to cover large areas are greatly increased, but so is the cost. At CANOPY, our approach is to primarily design extensive systems to create a viable economic option for the structure and developer.
Our experience with greenroof systems will be a valuable service to a large commercial project. We are designers, as well as technical assistants. Our services include material sourcing and selection, finding funding, preparing cost estimates, and horticulture consultation.
